This a photo taken with an iPhone of me and my buddy at Great Point on Nantucket.  You can read about the rich history of this historic lighthouse here:  http://lighthouse.cc/greatpoint/history.html.  Be sure to read about how Senator Kennedy helped bring a new light to the lighthouse, and the fun ceremoney in 1986 when they dedicated the new light (they smashed a bottle of champagne off the tower—that’s awesome).  Also, in order to get to Great Point, you need to have a permit from the town of Nantucket and a 4-Wheel drive car/truck helps too, b/c you need to let air out of your tires in order to drive the couple miles on the beach.  If you ever go there, I highly recommend making the trek to this historic landmark of not only Massachusetts, but of our country.
