Forward-thinking officials, including Tallahassee Mayor Marks and Florida Public Service Commissioner McMurrian, joined the panel to discuss how wireless is offering Floridians twenty-first century tools to address twenty-first century issues.

Political campaigns this year are making innovative use of mobile communications and new media to speak directly to voters. The Mobile Future Coalition will examine this phenomenon with a panel discussion at the National Press Club on Tuesday, October 14. In addition, noted pollster Peter Hart will discuss the impact of wireless communications on campaign polling.

With the rapid growth of wireless technology as the preferred communications platform, and the increasing opportunities that result from open networks, a new coalition called Mobile Future has been formed to provide a forum for consumers, manufacturers, content creators, social interest groups, mobile applications developers and others to help shape the future development of mobile communications in the United States.
